Unifying Upper and Lower Egypt
In ancient times Egypt was formed into two separate nations called Upper Egypt and Lower Egypt. The kings of these nations wanted to rule both Upper and Lower Egypt. Eventually there was a war. The king of Upper Egypt wore a white crown and the king of Lower Egypt wore a red crown. So when the king of Upper Egypt, King Menes, won the war he wore a double crown. Menes ruled for a long time.
